Five Upcoming Big Mobile Gaming Releases For 2024
Hidden in my Paradise
As cozy games go, the latest title from Ogre Pixel requires players to find hidden items but on a mobile gaming platform. The new release is set to hit Steam and mobile devices at the same time, and fans will have to embody the aspiring photographer Laly as you attempt to solve puzzles and complete different missions to progress. Hidden in my Paradise launches on October 9.
Age of Empires Mobile
The latest title in the Age of Empires franchise sees the RTS strategy title hit mobile devices. The CGMagazine preview of Age of Empires Mobile says despite shortcomings with gacha game mechanics, “Age of Empires Mobile is a well-made game, it has a fantastic presentation and really stands out as a graphically powerful mobile experience.” Age of Empires Mobile launches on October 17.
Sonic Rumble
The next battle-like title in the Sonic the Hedgehog series since the Gameboy Advance’s 2003 release, Sonic Battle (which could also indirectly refer to that generation’s mobile gaming), sees the series return to mobile following in earlier 2024 release Sonic Dream Team. Sonic Rumble allows fans to customize their character in the Sonic universe to face off against other players in a 32-player battle royale similar to Fall Guys: The Ultimate Knockout. Sonic Rumble has a TBD release date in 2024.
EA Sports FC Tactical
The popular title already released in Asian countries, EA Sports FC Tactical is coming to North America later in 2024. In the mobile gaming version of Futbol, fans can build their club, collect star players to join their club, and train players to maximize their potential to set against others on the pitch. Clubs can train players to master exciting Skill Moves, unlock perfect Traits and (like other mobile titles) increase player Rarity for further development. EA Sports FC Tactical launches at a TBD date in 2024.
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket
The last entry on this list coming to mobile gaming is the highly anticipated Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Announced at the beginning of the year, this new Pokémon game is inspired by literally holding your collected creatures in your pocket. Fans can do everything other Pokémon titles are known for, including collecting creatures, customization, boasting collections with a display, and of course, battling other trainers! Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket launches on October 30, and fans can pre-register for the launch here.
That wraps all of the upcoming big releases for mobile gaming. Fans who have missed out on previous mobile reports can visit the entire catalogue of articles on CGMagazine.
