Samsung is reportedly getting ready to unveil the Galaxy S24 FE, its newest Fan Edition device. A while ago, rumour had it that Samsung will launch the phone sometime in October, but a recent video by Samsung Vietnam’s YouTube channel claims a new device will be coming on September 26.
While we cannot confirm if it is a tablet or a phone, the Galaxy AI text suggests that it will likely be a high end or mid-range device. According to the video, the launch will happen at 10PM on September 26, which means Indian users can watch the stream at 8:30 PM IST.
However, we advise you to take this information with a grain of salt since Samsung might have changed its mind after uploading the video.
What do we know so far about the Galaxy S24 FE?
When it comes to design, the Galaxy S24 FE is rumoured to mimic the look and feel of the Galaxy S24 (review). In the last few years, Samsung hasn’t experimented with the design language of the Fan Edition phone, but speculation has it that it will be available in a wide range of colours like yellow, light blue, grey, black and light green.
As for hardware specifications, the Galaxy S24 FE is rumoured to pack the Exynos 2400 chipset and have a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen.
On the back, you might get three individual camera cutouts that house a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. However, it is said to pack a 4,500mAh battery, which is the same as its predecessor.
Similar to the Galaxy S24 series, the upcoming Fan Edition device may offer 7 years of OS updates, but nothing is official at the moment.
Samsung recently started pre-orders for its upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series. The blind reservation program requires users to pay Rs 1,000 in advance before the announcement to get benefits worth Rs 3,500.
The company’s new tablets are available for pre-order from September 17 to September 25, which also hints that Samsung might host an event on September 26.
