Alva’s Education Foundation on Sunday, March 23, signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CompCloud IT Services, a Managed IT Services Partner to avail the latter’s Digital Workplace Solutions suite, Education Desktop as a Service (EDaaS) at Moodbidri.
With this, the foundation has adopted Managed Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, enabling teaching and non-teaching staff across its institutions to access dedicated private virtual desktops hosted locally within the campus, said a release.
Additionally, the institution has integrated Microsoft Office 365, a free offering from Microsoft, to enhance messaging and collaboration among faculty and administration.
The adoption of EDaaS model allows Alva’s to significantly reduce capital and operational expenditures and minimises software licensing costs.
