Apple iPhone 17 Pro is already in development. The Cupertino-based company is reportedly planning to bring a new colour variant of iPhone 17 Pro. According to tipster Majin Bu, Apple may introduce iPhone 17 Pro in all-new Sky Blue, similar to the new M4 MacBook Air models. To compare, the existing iPhone 16 Pro is offered in Black Titanium, Desert Titanium, Natural Titanium and White Titanium colour variants.
To recall, Apple has not introduced any Blue ‘Pro’ model since iPhone 13 Pro. However, the leaker hasn’t clarified whether the iPhone 17 Pro’s Sky Blue color will replace an existing option or debut as an entirely new addition.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro expected features
According to The Information report, the iPhone 17 Pro may feature a redesigned rear panel composed of both aluminum and glass. The top half of the rear panel will be crafted from aluminum that will house the camera system. The camera bump is expected to be larger than the one found on the iPhone 16 Pro models.
The report further added that the iPhone 17 Pro may come with an aluminium frame, replacing the titanium frame like their predecessors. Apple uses Aluminum frames in its more affordable iPhone models. If true, it will mean that all four models expected to arrive next year may be equipped with aluminium edges. Notably, the Pro models have been equipped with a frame made from stainless steel.
On the specifications part, the phone may come powered by Apple’s A19 Pro chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process. iPhone 17 Pro is said to offer 12GB of RAM, up from the iPhone 16 Pro’s 8GB. For camera duties, it may have a 48MP telephoto lens, replacing the 12MP sensor found in the iPhone 16 Pro. On the front, it is rumoured to have a 24MP sensor.
