Apple has phased out the MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Air M3 in favour of the latest, more capable, and slightly more affordable MacBook Air M4. This makes the MacBook Air M4 the most affordable entry-level laptop currently sold by Apple in its online and physical stores.
While you can still buy a MacBook Air with an M1, M2, or M3 chip from platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, and other retail chains, they are no longer available at Apple’s official stores.
The MacBook Air M4 is the most capable machine in the MacBook Air series. The 13-inch base variant, with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, starts at Rs 99,900. Apple is offering a flat Rs 10,000 discount on most bank cards, bringing the price down to Rs 89,900. Students can avail of an additional Rs 10,000 discount, making the deal even more attractive.
Like most other Macs, RAM and storage upgrades come at a cost. Upgrading to 512GB of storage increases the price to Rs 1,19,900 while upgrading both RAM and storage to 24GB and 512GB costs Rs 1,39,900. There is also a 15-inch variant of the MacBook Air M4, starting at Rs 1,24,900. Unlike the 13-inch base variant, which features an 8-core GPU, the 15-inch model comes with a 10-core GPU, offering slightly better performance. However, both variants are passively cooled, with no fan, ensuring silent operation, which could also lead to performance throttling with continued usage.
The MacBook Air M4 is available for pre-order now and will go on sale starting March 12. If you’re interested in purchasing one, you can place your order through the Apple Store or any participating third-party sellers. We recommend buying from Apple-authorised resellers for the best experience.
