DC Comics has announced its latest mobile content initiative, DC GO!, which will launch next month with a roster of original ongoing titles, in addition to making a number of iconic stories and publications accessible on mobile platforms for the first time. Published on DC Universe Infinite, GO! and its new exclusive titles are being heralded as “a new frontier of webcomics.”
DC GO! launches November 20, 2024, and will debut with a trio of original titles: Harley Quinn in Paradise, Nothing Butt Nightwing, and Renaissance of Raven. The publisher also touted the iconic Batman: Hush storyline as the first classic DC series to be adapted to the mobile format for the DC GO! collection.
Further, the announcement of the new service notes that fans of MAD Magazine will be able to find classic issues of the humor magazine on DC GO! when it launches next month.
Webcomic Collection DC GO! Launches With A Trio Of Exciting Exclusive Titles, Along With Some Classics
Available November 20, 2024 On Mobile Devices Through DC Universe Infinite
According to DC, the imminent debut of DC GO! represents the next evolution of the comic book medium’s integration with modern technology. As DC General Manager Anne DePies explained:
DC has the largest library of comics on the planet, going back nearly 90 years, and with the addition of DC GO! to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE there’s now a new collection of webcomics for fans to read. Our goal with the DC GO! collection is to create fun, compelling, reader-friendly, mobile DC stories that readers will enjoy on the go. Like DC Compact Comics and DC Finest, this is another example of our commitment to finding new ways to engage with fans and readers.
The announcement of mobile-exclusive series and the mobile-format release of stories from DC’s back catalog are equally exciting, and both represent the publisher’s next steps into the future of comics. From its onset, DC GO! seems carefully designed to cater to existing fans, while also seeking to entice new ones, which suggests the company has put a great deal of thought into the early roll-out of the service.

From Batman to Superman, the Justice League, Sandman, the Watchmen, and more, these are the greatest DC Comics stories ever told.
To that end, the initial line-up of DC GO! series represents a careful curation of some of DC Comics’ most beloved characters. As Katie Kubert, Global Publishing Innovation’s group editor, said in the press release for the collection:
The DC GO! original comics are brand-new, weekly stories for mobile readers, with the launch titles told by seasoned, fan-favorite creators. The first three DC GO! launch stories can only be found on DCUI on November 20th, starring Nightwing, Raven, and Harley Quinn, and will feature fun DC cameos and new characters. We know fans love webcomics like Batman: Wayne Family Adventures, so the titles launching in the new DC GO! collection were created to appeal to readers of specific genres – drama, fantasy, comedy, mystery, action, romance, slice-of-life, and more – so that there’s a type of story for everyone to enjoy.”
In this sense, DC is doing more than just betting big on mobile comics – it is investing resources into making DC GO! the premiere place for readers to go for the best webcomics superhero stories, in a targeted expansion of the publisher’s legacy in the industry.
DC GO! Is The Latest Ambitious Move From The Famous Publisher
Harley Quinn In Paradise, Nothing Butt Nightwing, & Rennaissance Of Raven – Available Exclusively On DC Go!
As DC ambitiously restructures its Multiverse in the pages of Absolute DC, the publisher also has its eye on redefining how fans consume comic book content. To that end, the first three exclusive DC GO! comic series’ are specifically designed to entice readers. The collection’s new Harley Quinn series is described as a romantic comedy, in which the protagonist “competes for love in all the wrong places,” while the Nightwing book plays up his increasingly important role as DC’s premiere superhero sex symbol.

I Can’t Believe DC Just Turned Me Into a Nightwing/Starfire Shipper
While I’ve always vastly preferred Nightwing and Starfire over Nightwing and Batgirl, I never fully shipped the Boy Wonder and the Princess—until now.
The mobile-exclusive Raven series, meanwhile, promises a “sword-and-sorcery quest” for the Titans hero, suggesting it will test the limits of the new collection in ways that the other two titles might not. In a way, that makes it the most exciting of the three, given that it may very well showcase just how well DC has been able to create these stories specifically for consumption on mobile devices. Alternatively, the DC GO! release of Batman: Hush and other classic stories will show how effectively the reformatting effort has been.
DC Readers Would Be MAD Not To Check Out What DC GO! Has To Offer
Notably, DC GO! will also host the publisher’s archive of old MAD Magazine issues, which should serve to bring in another subset of fans who want a quick, easy fix of nostalgia, as much as on-the-go comic book action. If nothing else, this should be further indication that the publisher has ambitious plans for DC GO!, which will continue to expand its collection following its initial premiere. DC’s announcement of the service promises that more content will be available for the November launch of DC GO!, with more continually being uploaded after that.
It is worth rooting for the success of DC GO! and its slate of original comic book titles; success breeds imitation, and anything that makes comics more accessible to a wider audience is a worthwhile endeavor.
However comic book fans prefer to consume their favorite stories, it is worth rooting for the success of DC GO! and its slate of original comic book titles; success breeds imitation, and anything that makes comics more accessible to a wider audience is a worthwhile endeavor. Certainly, Nightwing fans, Harley Quinn devotees, and supporters of Raven will all be clamoring for the service as soon as it is available, setting a great foundation for DC Comics’ latest foray into the world of webcomics and mobile publishing.
Nightwing
Nightwing is the superhero moniker taken up by Dick Grayson, upon his aging out of the Robin role and becoming a superhero of his own. Inspired by the original Kryptonian hero of the same name, Grayson has risen to comic book immortality with the identity, earning respect as one of the greatest leaders in the DC Universe.
