- Dungeon and Fighter’s new spin-off open-world RPG has been given an official title
- Dungeon & Fighter: Arad doesn’t yet have an official release date, but will be coming to mobile
- The announcement comes as part of Nexon’s upcoming media showcase
Fans of Dungeon & Fighter who have been hankering for more news about the series’ upcoming open-world RPG spin-off can breathe easily. Or not, since we don’t have much to share, but what we do have is an official title and confirmation that it will release on both mobile and console. Dungeon & Fighter: Arad also got a brief teaser trailer to unveil the new name to the public.
The announcement itself comes courtesy of Nexon’s upcoming media blitz for a variety of their new releases, such as Arc Raiders. As part of G-STAR 2024, one of South Korea’s largest gaming showcases, Nexon released a new teaser trailer alongside the title announcement.
For those not familiar, Dungeon & Fighter has been one of Nexon’s cornerstone franchises since the first entry released in the mid-2000s. It’s also recently made its way to mobile with a port created by Tencent for the Chinese market (and later Korea) this past year.
See that mountain? You can climb it
While we don’t know much about Arad, I could probably hazard more than a few guesses. We’re likely to see something along the lines of Genshin Impact, or MiHoYo’s other games, as their releases sort of set a new standard when it comes to open-world games on mobile. As for a release date? I’d say we just have to keep our eyes open, but it definitely wouldn’t be this year.
