In an effort to boost sales before the launch of Google’s Pixel 9a, Apple’s authorized resellers have slashed the price of the iPhone 16e, making it more budget-friendly.
The iPhone 16e, which debuted in India last month, now faces stiff competition from Google’s new affordable offering, the Pixel 9a. The Pixel 9a not only boasts comparable specs but also comes at a lower price point. To counter this, Apple’s resellers have lowered the price of the iPhone 16e to attract more buyers before the Pixel 9a hits the market.
Apple’s authorized resellers such as iNvent, Croma, Blinkit, and Zepto have reduced the iPhone 16e’s price from ₹59,900 to under ₹52,000, factoring in discounts and bank offers across various variants. Here’s how the deal works:
iPhone 16e Deal
The listed price for the iPhone 16e on the above platforms is now ₹55,900, offering a ₹4,000 discount off the original price. Customers using eligible bank cards can further reduce the cost by ₹4,000. With the bank discount, the iPhone 16e is available for as low as ₹51,900.
iPhone 16e vs Pixel 9a
Apple had positioned the iPhone 16e as a more premium model compared to the iPhone SE series, with an initial price tag of ₹59,900. In contrast, Google has made the Pixel 9a more affordable, launching it at ₹49,990 — ₹5,000 less than the previous generation.
When comparing specifications, the Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate, while the iPhone 16e has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 16e is powered by the A18 chip, found in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, while the Pixel 9a uses the Tensor G4 chip. Additionally, the iPhone 16e comes with a 48MP single camera, whereas the Pixel 9a includes a 13MP ultrawide camera along with the primary sensor.
