The newest drama ‘When the Phone Rings‘ gave a first glimpse into Jang Gyuri‘s character!
Based on the web novel, ‘When the Phone Rings,’ the drama has the story of a married couple who were brought together out of convenience and can’t help but have their lives turned upside down by a threatening phone call. This drama casts a stellar lineup: Yoo Yeon Seok, Chae Soo Bin, and Heo Nam Jun among them.
In the latest update, some new stills have appeared from the show that hint at Jang Gyuri’s transformation into a professional news anchor.
Jang Gyuri plays Na Yu Ri who is an aggressive and pretty news anchor who graduated from a top-tier university. She deeply admires the senior of the station, Baek Sa Eon, and never hesitates to display her love for him. Unfortunately for her, Baek Sa Eon’s wife Hong Hee Joo, played by Chae Soo Bin, just so happens to be a sign language interpreter working in the same newsroom which adds intriguing dynamics to the story.
The shots also introduce Jang Gyuri as Na Yu Ri. The character looks sharp, very professional in a sharp suit, and very serious as if scanning through her script before telling bad news.
The pictures also showcase the intelligence and elegance of Jang Gyuri, thus making everyone more eager to watch her as a confident Na Yu Ri. The chemistry between Jang Gyuri and Yoo Yeon Seok, Chae Soo Bin, and Heo Nam Jun will be amazingly eye-catching while watching the drama.
