The Montessori Indus School (MIS) in Kurnool on Saturday organised a ‘Space Fest’ that captivated both the students and visitors.
The event highlighted the journey of space exploration, from the launch of rockets and the SpaceX Dragon Capsule to the life aboard the International Space Station (ISS) and the dramatic re-entry of the Dragon capsule. The fest featured life-sized models, including towering rockets, a massive ISS setup, a large globe depicting earth as seen from the space, an impressive replica of the SpaceX Dragon capsule, and ISRO rocket models.
The students played the role of young scientists and space guides, explaining each phase of space travel with clarity. Their presentations covered not only international space missions, but also the contributions of ISRO to space research. Parents, educators and guests went around the displays, listened to the students and appreciated the intricate models and presentations.
The event served as a platform to promote scientific thinking, creativity and awareness about space missions among the younger generations.
