New characters introduced in the Spooky Squad update
Poco, Frank, and Ruffs are some of the popular Brawl Stars characters that are making their debut in Supercell’s latest title. Each of these characters will be a part of the upcoming Spooky World event where players can use their unique abilities to build powerful squads.
Poco can be used to heal teammates in intense battles using his guitar. Meanwhile, Frank is a tanky character, known for his massive health. He can stun an entire group of enemies using his hammer, making them vulnerable for a short duration. Finally, Ruffs offers an instant Fusion boost and increases the chances of finding Lucky Finds for enhanced rewards.
Spooky World event details in Squad Busters
The Spooky World event will run for one week starting on Monday (October 21, 2024). During this event, players can collect Pumpkins to unlock the above-mentioned new characters alongside other rewards through intense battles against creepy monsters.
Furthermore, this event will feature two new battle mods called Loot Machines and Megaboss Showdown. If any player fails to complete this event, they will get another chance to use new characters and mods at the end of World Journey in the Spooky Squad update.
New mods introduced in Spooky Squad update in Squad Busters
Loot Machine is one of the first battle mods to be featured in the upcoming week. In this battle mod, players can purchase Loot with Coins instead of opening Chests to obtain useful in-game resources.
The Megaboss Showdown battle mod will feature battles against two massive bosses: Skeleton King and Zombie Kaiju. They will possess large health and high DPS, requiring players to defeat them through team tactics.
November Gem Pass Season revealed in Spooky Squad update
The Cybersquad season launches on November 1, 2024, as part of the new Gem Pass in Squad Busters. It will feature Cyberpunk-themed skins for popular characters, including:
In addition, a Solarpunk Barbarian skin will be available through a special event during the season. Developers have hinted at possible changes to future Gem Pass seasons, with more updates expected soon.
Other changes and improvements
The Spooky Squad update also introduces several quality-of-life improvements:
- Performance optimizations for smoother gameplay, especially on Android devices.
- Rare skins will now be available for Style Tickets at launch, with more opportunities to earn these tickets through events, rewards, and the in-game shop.
- Reward Chests will no longer drop Classic or Super characters. Instead, they will contain Babies, which contribute to evolving characters and earning Star Tokens.
