Oppo is set to launch the Oppo F29 5G series in India on March 20, 2025, at 12 PM IST. The new lineup will include two models: the standard Oppo F29 5G and the Oppo F29 Pro 5G. Both models promise strong durability and advanced features, and they will be available for purchase via popular online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and the official Oppo India e-store.
Design and colour options
The Oppo F29 5G series will come in different colour options to appeal to the masses. The standard Oppo F29 5G will be available in Glacier Blue and Solid Purple colours. On the other hand, the more premium Oppo F29 Pro 5G will come in Granite Black and Marble White shades.
Durability and build quality
Both the Oppo F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G will feature a 360-degree Armour Body and will have military-grade MIL-STD-810H-2022 certification. This certification ensures that the phones can withstand rough conditions and shocks. The phones are also built to be water and dust-resistant, with ratings of IP66, IP68, and IP69. Oppo claims that the F29 series can handle underwater photography, making them suitable for adventurous users.
Additionally, the phones will come with special features like Sponge Bionic Cushioning, a Raised Corner Design Cover, and Lens Protection Ring to safeguard the device against accidental drops or impacts. They are also said to include an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy internal frame for extra strength.
Battery and performance
The Oppo F29 Pro 5G will come equipped with a big 6,000mAh battery and support for 80W SuperVOOC charging, allowing users to quickly recharge the device. This large battery ensures longer usage without frequent charging, making it ideal for users who need a reliable phone for extended periods.
Under the hood, the F29 Pro 5G is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. It will also offer options with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations.
Availability and pricing
While exact pricing is not yet confirmed, leaks suggest that the Oppo F29 Pro 5G could be priced under Rs 25,000 in India. This makes it an attractive option in the budget mid-range segment, offering premium features at an affordable price.
