OPPO just launched the F29 5G and F29 Pro 5G smartphones in India, as it had promised. Both the phones pack FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screens. OPPO says that the phones are built to withstand India’s most challenging environmental conditions since these feature a 360° Armour Body, extreme waterproofing, and carries certification for 14+ military-grade environmental tests.
OPPO said that it has subjected the F29 series to 14 Military Standard (MIL-STD-810H-2022) tests that certify it against high temperature, low temperature, shock, rain, freezing water, sand, dust, salt mist, solar radiation, humidity, vibration, fluid contamination, mold, acceleration that tests for g-loads, and resistance.
The phones come with IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings that certify it against the highest levels of dust and water ingress and can survive 18 types of liquid spills including coffee, tea, milk, soda, water, and more, according to OPPO.
The F29 5G is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, and packs a 6500mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The phone comes in Solid Purple that exudes royal confidence, and a Glacier Blue colour inspired by a crisp, icy blue that is reminiscent of India’s serene mountain landscapes, said the company.
The F29 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300- Energy SoC, and packs a 6000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The phone comes in Marble White, inspired by sunlight reflecting off pristine marble to offer a sophisticated yet rugged aesthetic, and Granite Black with its bold, textured black finish for cool sophistication, said the company.

The OPPO F29 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, 8GB + 256GB costs Rs. 29,999 and the top-end 12GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 31,999
The OPPO F29 series will be available from Amazon.in, Flipkart, OPPO India online store and offline stores starting from March 27th and April 1st, respectively with pre-orders starting from today, March 20th.
