There is practically a new deal on the market every day for newcomers to phone carriers. While we will be at the front of the line when it comes to complaining about existing customers of practically every phone carrier getting the cold shoulder when it comes to discounts and savings, it’s nice to see that there’s never a bad time to switch to a new company’s services.
T-Mobile offers great deals to potential customers, and it’s one of the better providers for keeping its current customers happy with T-Life. Today, T-Mobile offered another offer to snag newcomers within its grasps with the latest version of the Motorola Razr line.

And a whole lot of AI
T-Mobile announced today that the 2025 versions of the Motorola Razr series of phones (Razr, Razr+, and Razr Ultra) will be coming to the phone carrier. In addition, customers that trade in an eligible device or add a line on the company’s Go5G Plus, Go5G Next, Experience More, or Experience Beyond plans will get up to $1,000 off any of the three devices. Customers that sign up with most other plans that T-Mobile offers will get up to $600 off a new Moto Razr device, with both offers being paid back vs 24 monthly bill credits.
Finally, Metro customers can get the base Razr for $320 when bringing a number to the service and signing up for Metro Flex Unlimited Plus. There are a lot of Motorola offers on hand for newcomers to T-Mobile already, and these add on to the pile.
The underlying cost of the Un-Carrier
Source: T-Mobile
T-Mobile loves to tout its self-named status as the “Un-Carrier” as a way to differentiate itself from other providers on the market, but over the years, it has become more of an idealized slogan than a truth for the conglomerate to yell outwards. T-Mobile has gone from being one of the most favorable phone carrier brands out there to one that has a ton of skeletons in its closet. Frequent bait-and-switch price hikes have current and prospective customers concerned to the point that T-Mobile just promised that the price of “talk, text, and data” won’t go up for five whole years. Is that the truth? To quote Obi-Wan Kenobi, perhaps it is, from a certain point of view.
In early March, T-Mobile’s CEO, Mike Sievert, implied that 2024’s price hikes were just the beginning. If that’s the case, then it plays into severe opposition to the company’s most-recent declaration. Regardless, if you’re looking to buy a Motorola Razr in 2025, we’ve got some varying opinions on the trio of devices. We love them, but they’re difficult to recommend at the same time. All three models look and feel identical, even if the underlying specs are different. We couldn’t help but consistently rank the 2024 Moto Razr+ as a great all-around phone, and it might be more of the same this year. Don’t be shocked if we’re left wanting a bit more overall, however.
