iPhone 16 preorders are live for everyone who’s ready to upgrade to one of four models of Apple’s new iPhones, which we got our hands on at Apple’s headquarters this week. One of the most compelling early deals we’ve seen is from T-Mobile, where the carrier says you can score the iPhone 16 Pro for free if you trade in an eligible device.
You’ll receive a 128GB iPhone 16 Pro, which has a 6.3-inch display, iOS 18, Apple Intelligence and two new physical buttons, including one you can press down to launch the camera. You’ll reap the savings — up to $1,000 — via 24 monthly bill credits when you trade in an eligible device on a Go5G Next plan. An iPhone 11 Pro and newer should net you the full savings, but if you’re trading in an iPhone 6 or newer, you’ll still be able to save up to $500.
Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.
Families can save 20% every month versus some of T-Mobile’s competitors. If you’re curious to see how much you could pocket, check out T-Mobile’s savings calculator. When you sign up for a Go5G Next plan, you’ll be able to upgrade every year.
Note that if you cancel your account before you receive all 24 credits, those credits will stop and the balance on your required finance agreement will be due. Additionally, your bill credits will also end if you pay off your device early. If you’re confident you can stick with T-Mobile, this deal is hard to beat. Preorders for the iPhone 16 Pro begin today, Sept. 13.
